Equipment Operator
Job Description:
Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of multiple pieces of construction equipment. The equipment operator is proficient in the use of a range of construction equipment, including, compact skid steer track loader, excavators, and other pieces of equipment.
Physical Abilities:
- Ability to regularly use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms
- Ability to bend over, sit, and kneel for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift 50lbs to over 100lbs
- Working outdoors in various weather conditions from extreme heat to cold, rainy and/ or snow conditions
Required Skills/Attributes:
- Operate trucks of various sizes and weights in the loading, hauling and unloading of various equipment, materials and supplies
- Assist with hand digging ditches and trenches
- Perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance on equipment
- Operates construction or power equipment, such as excavators, compact skid steer track loaders to complete excavating jobs in a timely, but thorough manner
Performance Criteria:
- Assist in other areas such as landscape maintenance, snow removal, etc. to ensure the continued success of our company
- Can be counted on to be at work on time every day
- Consistently adheres to company safety rules and procedures to avoid injuries and other incidents
- Incumbent will be assessed by scorecard provided by construction supervisor
